Facial masks provide deep nourishment to the skin. This skin-care routine also detoxifies, moisturizes and replenish nutrients to our skin and pamper ourselves as well. The good thing about this skin-care routine is that we can do this at home as long as we find ways and time with the same effect that we would get in spas. So here are some face masks that you can make at home:
1. FOR CELLULITE
Take 1/4 cup of ground coffee (not instant coffee) in a bowl and add 1 cup of virgin coconut oil. Mix it together until you can make a paste. Apply this mixture on your face in circular motion. Leave it there for 15 minutes. Then rinse.
You can also use ground coffee to exfoliate your skin. Simply add ground coffee to your face or body wash for a smooth skin.
2. TO CLEAR BLACKHEADS
Just mix 1 tsp. of lemon juice and 1 egg white. Apply the mixture on your face, leave it for 20 minutes then rinse to clear blackheads.
3. TO GET RID OF OILY SKIN
Mix 2 tbsp of Aloe Vera Gel and 1 tsp of Turmeric in a bowl. Apply on your face and leave it for 15 minutes then rinse.
4. TO REDUCE DARK CIRCLES
Freeze used tea bag and put it on your eyes (thaw it before using) to calm and reduce dark circles.
5. TO REDUCE FINE LINES
Whisk 2 egg whites until firm. Brush beneath eyes. Leave it for 15 minutes then rinse.
6. TO HEAL ECZEMA AND ACNE BREAKOUT
Add the water to your oatmeal and stir for a few minutes until it’s plumped up nicely. Add the honey and yogurt, and put through a blender to smooth and combine it really well. Slather this all over your face, leave on for 10 minutes or so, and then wash with warm water. Pat dry.
7. TO HYDRATE SKIN
Avocado helps to hydrate skin and gently exfoliates. Apply it on your face for 10 minutes then rinse.
8. TO GET RID OF BLEMISHES
Mash the banana into a puree in a small mixing bowl. Add the lemon juice and the honey, and mix thoroughly. This should make a nice paste. Spread evenly over your entire face, excluding your eyes and lips. Let this settle on your skin for 20-30 minutes. Rinse well with warm water.
Mix your coconut oil and raw honey together until you have a sticky texture. It may seem thick at first, but the honey and coconut oil will actually warm up and soften on your face Keep the mask on for about 15-20 minutes and rinse with warm water. You may also add some few drops of lemon juice into your mixture to shrink pores.
10. NOURISH YOUR SKIN WITH OATMEAL FACE MASK
Mash 1/2 ripe banana in a small mixing bowl. Then mix in 1 tsp milk and tablespoon of ground oatmeal. Combine ingredients thoroughly. Rub the mask onto face in a circular motion. Keep mask in place for 10 to 15 minutes. Wash off with warm water and do not use soap.
